Saving children from starvation: Audrey Hepburn, UNICEF & Gaza

Saving children from starvation: Audrey Hepburn, UNICEF & Gaza

As usual, I've been trying to take my mind off all the horrors of watching starving children in Gaza by watching K-dramas on Netflix.  Had just finished watching Cinderella and the Four Knights and was Flix-surfing to find something else to watch next.

Hmmm.  There's a documentary on Audrey Hepburn.  Glamorous movie star, legendary icon.  Why not watch that.  Turns out that Hepburn had been a malnourished victim of Nazi terror when she was a child.  Who knew?

But in the later decades of her life, Audrey totally devoted herself to flying all around the world, trying to save children from starvation.  I didn't know that either.

Partnering with UNICEF, she would bravely hold dying children in her arms and comfort them as they took their last breaths.

Needless to say, Audrey Hepburn would be horrified by Gaza.
