Silver coins and "war": Some quick existential notes to myself
Went to buy a silver dollar yesterday because Greg Mannarino says for us to "become our own central banks" -- and I thought that having a silver dollar all my own would be a good start in that direction. It was not.
The local coin dealer just laughed in my face. "It's a seller's market," he said. "People are scrambling to buy silver. I just sold a thousand ounces of silver this morning. I only have one hundred ounces left." Now even silver dollars are over my budget.
Then I went off to buy some groceries at the Berkeley Bowl and it seems to me that all prices there have risen a dollar since that last time I shopped -- yesterday. And Bowl prices are always fair. So that's just the way things are now. And as for the "war" in Ukra$ne? Biden needs to get over himself. America used to be the world's only super-power. Not any more. America is currently scraping the bottom of the barrel to send weapons to Zelensky -- who is not a nice guy.
Remember back when America was spozed to be the nice guy? Not any more. Now all America does is shower weapon manufacturers with (30) pieces of silver -- even though said manufacturers are not Ginger Rodgers right now. Russia is. Russia is currently dancing circles around America -- and doing it backwards and in high heels.
