The Post Office, Pfizer & me: How our very own government constantly works against us...

     The other day a TV reporter stood in front of my apartment complex's forlorn row of empty mailboxes, interviewing me for the evening news.  "Are you saying that you haven't received any mail at all for the past 155 days?" she asked incredulously.  Yep.  Sad but true.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KDeqnAWIlE

 

     The master lock on our mailboxes got broken five months ago and still hadn't been replaced.  "No lock, no mail," the USPS kept telling me.  Okay, so put a freaking lock on it.  "We can't."  Why the freak not?  "Because we only have one lock-repair technician to cover an area that includes Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond and six other cities."  

 

      Say what?

 

     America has all kinds of money to keep weapons manufacturers in gravy for the rest of their worthless lives but not enough money to fix just one freaking mailbox lock?  That's just wrong.  

     So I decided to sue the Post Office.  Whoa, hey.  "You can't do that!"  And just to prove that I couldn't, attorneys for the USPS hit me with a whole bunch of laws and rules passed by Congress and backed up by the freaking Supreme Court that won't allow me to sue it.  "The Federal Tort Claims Act, Dolan v. U.S. Postal Service, Fed.R. Civ.P 4(i)(1), 39 C.F.R. Section 2.2, 28 C.F.R.      Now let's talk about Pfizer.  Congress (or somebody) also passed a law that said we couldn't sue Pfizer either.  Ever.  No matter how many injuries and deaths resulted from their "fake and untested" experimental injections?  Nope.  Never.

     And Congress is also trying to pass a law that will take away our freaking cat videos!  They keep telling us that TikTok is a Chinese mind-control Manchurian Candidate horror.  No it's not.  The only thing TikTok is doing wrong is to not grovel and kiss arse like FascBook and Twitter does.  The current bill in Congress allows the Prez to censor and/or shut down any social media outlet that doesn't agree with him.  How does that benefit you and me?  It doesn't.

     Can TikTok sue Congress if this law is passed and all its cat videos are taken down?  What do you think?  I haven't read the fine print yet but rest assured that there's a "can't sue" clause in there somewhere.  That's the way our government works.  No more cat videos (or constructive criticism of The Blob) for us.

     And don't forget all those illegal un-declared wars that Congress loves so much.  Congress is required by law to approve any wars that the U.S. fights -- so it simply doesn't declare any wars, making Congress judgment-proof.  You can't sue to stop a war that has never been declared, right?

      Instead, Congress simply passes all kinds of laws that supply billions and billions and billions in deadly weaponry to Ukrainian and Zionist and Saudi neo-fascist war criminals to fight proxy wars against Russia, Gaza, Yemen, Iran, Lebanon and Syria -- while our own American infrastructure at home crumbles and decays before our very eyes due to lack of funds.  And if you too think that Congress is passing these weaponry laws in order to benefit the American people, then I have a bridge in Baltimore to sell ya. 

     And apparently we also can't sue the government if they take away our cars, our homes, our jobs, our children's education, our clean drinking water, our clear skies, our police, our healthcare, our social media, our infrastructure, our freedom of information, our farms, our healthy food, our media, our privacy, our armed services, our peace of mind -- and who the freak knows what all else.

     Members of Congress just keep on passing all these Draconian laws that benefit and protect anyone but you and me -- the people who elected them.  And, according to the Federal Tort Claims Act passed in 1946, you can sue the government but only if you can successfully prove that the government actually screwed up and was negligent -- and if you have enough moolah to hire yourself a full team of attack-dog attorneys to defend you as these cases drag through courts for days, months, years, decades!

     And if it isn't bad enough that Congress can't pass laws fast enough to protect everyone but us and that our hands are tied against suing them to stop -- all those U.S. presidents who sit behind the Resolute Desk in our name just keep on issuing Executive Orders that help keep the military, the Federal Reserve and huge corporations afloat -- but not us.  We and our families are only allowed to sink like a stone.

     Let's sue the bastards!

PS:  I just had a dream wherein some crusading attorney had set me the task of putting all government laws and bills and resolutions on thumb drives so that she could go through them and make a list of which laws, resolutions and executive orders benefited the American people -- and which did not.  It was an awesome task.  Most of them did not.  And then we sued to strike down all those laws and bills and statutes that only benefited fat cats -- starting with the Patriot Act.

      In last night's dream, all this sorting out took just minutes -- but in real life?  Finding out how many ways that the Federal Reserve has screwed us or how AIPAC and Big Pharma run our lives?  That will take days, months, years.  So.  Let's start waking up from this dream -- and let's get started.

 

PPS:  Going without mail for 155 days is nothing compared to watching in horror as American psychopaths manufacture endless assembly lines filled with blood-stained weapons of mass destruction that slaughter Syrians, Ukrainians, Yemenis, Palestinians and even Israelis, Iranians and Russians -- every single freaking day for days, weeks, months and decades.

       We Americans need to sit down, think hard and totally reconsider what our moral values actually are -- or if we even have any.
