Ukraine & Israel: The high price of being America's friend

Editor's Note:  I wrote this article just before yet another "war" suddenly broke out, yet another "war" that suddenly caused the US stock market to go up -- and that we Americans are going to be forced to pay for. 
 
      Don't get me wrong.  I myself really like being America's friend.  Sure, my childhood here during the McCarthy era sucked eggs but I kinda actually enjoy living in America now.  Of course you never know what's going to happen next here because we all live in "interesting times" but at least my car works, I have electricity, there's a supermarket right across the street and no one is trying to kill me.

     I myself am living inside of America.  But outside of America, it's a whole different story.  As the king of Jordan once commented, "It's dangerous to be America's enemy -- but it's even more dangerous to be America's friend."
 
    Take Ukraine for example.  Approximately 400,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been brutally slaughtered just because American neo-cons don't like Putin.  "But, Jane," you might say, "Putin is Evil."  Yeah, well.  As evil as Anthony Blinken and Victoria Nuland?  Let's not go there.

     Instead, let's just look at the results of Ukraine being America's friend.  There are now thousands of land mines and unexploded cluster bombs all along the Dnieper River, and neo-Nazis are now welcome in Kiev (and Canada).  Thanks a lot, Joe and Hunter Biden.  Ukraine has definitely paid a high price for being America's BFF.

     And Israel is America's friend too.  And it also sucks to be an Israeli these days.  Israel was spozed to be the land of milk and honey where happy Jews could freely practice being Jewish.  That never happened.  Not even close.

     Being America's friend has cost Israelis their very Jewishness.  With a little help from their American friends, they have turned into violent and corrupt paranoid haters who do nasty things to Palestinian women and children, run a vicious apartheid state, persecute Christians, are constantly bombing Syria and also keep trying to stir up a disastrous war on Iran.  Hillel the Elder must be rolling over in his grave.  America did this.  Thanks a lot, friend.

     If you wanna practice real Judaism these days, you're going to have to move to Brooklyn.  Jerusalem just ain't where it's happening any more.

PS:  Having America as a friend has totally screwed up both Israel and Ukraine.  However, we can safely say that the opposite situation is also true.  These two countries have also goaded America into becoming a killing machine.  All three countries take grisly delight in egging each other on.

      Remember Netanyahu's famous quote about how easy it is to manipulate America?  "I know what America is,” bragged Netanyahu.  “America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction.  They won’t get in the way.”

      So.  Who exactly are the good guys here?  And who are the bad guys?  And who exactly is wagging the dog?  It certainly isn't us.  It is America's middle class that ultimately pays the high price here.  None of these three countries' current leaders are our BFFs.
