Re: Our Constitution -- the heart and soul of America

What is the essence of America? What makes us great? Is it our atomic arsenal? Is it our large corporations? Is it the American flag pinned to our lapels or Wall Street or our superpower status in the darkest corners of the world?

Is it our freeways and TV's and designer clothes and late-model cars?

The heart and soul of America, the thing that makes us great, is the United States Constitution. Without it, we are just another Banana Republic.

It's our Constitution. Let's have the courage to protect it.

Very truly yours, Jane Stillwater, Berkeley, CA
