       Damn, everybody in this town is pretty.  Or tries to be pretty.  Or else tries to be pretty and totally misses the mark.  I'm not pretty.  I don't even know how to be pretty.  But after a few days living on Hollywood Boulevard, I found myself actually wanting to be pretty.  Sigh.

      There is so much eye-candy and all kinds of other temptations down here.  Hard to resist.  For a while there I really tried -- but frankly spirituality suddenly seemed just plain boring after a few days in L.A.  Doing the right thing is a hecka lot harder than just going with the flow.  I desperately needed a wake-up call!  Did I get one?  Yeah.  Let's not talk about what it was.  Perhaps it was the horror of politics, the approach of World War 3 or the fact that it costs a lot of money to sin.  Maybe only the wealthy can afford it.

      In any case, I managed to come to my senses just in time.  And I also wish that our world leaders would somehow come to their senses as well.  Who the freak wants to wallow in Sodom and Gomorrah forever?  You'll just wake up in the morning with a headache.

PS:  I'm not using Sodom & Gomorrah in the non-binary sense.  Trannies have enough on their plate already, what with having to be at the mercy of Big Pharma for the rest of their lives, without me piling on too.  I talking about a Biblical reference with regard to decadence.  Decadence is the correct word to use.  Just ask the Roman elites.  Oops, no you can't.  They're all dead.

PPS:  As boring as spirituality and doing the right thing seem to be, they've got a longer shelf life.  To paraphrase James Brown, "Money won't change you but [karma] will take you on!" 

PPPS:  Someone just took me to a real-life Hollywood S&M Goth disco bar.  Wow!  Those Angelenos really know how to let it all hang out.  Here in Tinsel Town, folks really confront their sexuality head on! 

 

   Hey, sex is probably a good thing -- but too much of anything just becomes toxic.  And love needs to be somehow involved as well.  But still....  Being an unbiased anthropological observer in a Hollywood disco bar while dancing the night away?  It was sort of fun.
