Dear Dept of Government Efficiency: War is NOT efficient!

     When I was stuck in Jordan back in January, I tried my very best to get a flight from Amman to Yemen.  No luck.  "Zionists have just bombed the Sanaa airport."  Rats.  I had always wanted to visit the fabled city of Sanaa, one of the architectural wonders of the ancient world (it had been my dream as a child to be an archeologist).

     Not only was I all excited about visiting this fabulous UNESCO heritage site, but I also had good friends in Yemen who I could visit while my bank finally sorted out the idea that it was me in the Middle East using my credit card, not some Nigerian prince.

 

      But all this happened way back in January.  Keep up!  The face of war in the Middle East has just changed radically once again.  Syria fell to the head-choppers.  Zionists just broke the Gaza ceasefire big-time (lots of dead babies involved).  Lebanon suffered a CIA-sponsored political coup.  The West Bank is in flames.  The only alternative to Netanyahu is to install even worse butchers than Bibi.  Turkey and Israel have both invaded Syria.  And.  President Trump has just declared war on Yemen.

     Constitutionally, only Congress can declare war.  Forget that.  These are modern times.  President Trump has just declared war on Yemen via Truth Social.  And now the Federal Reserve is happily revving up all its presses in order to print even more monopoly money to cover the cost of all those billions of dollars worth of American weapons being blown up by the Houthis.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RMSzi1kza8

     But I digress.  Let's go back to talking about Government Efficiency. 

     How efficient can it possibly be to waste trillions of dollars on murdering babies in Yemen, Gaza, Syria, Ukra$ne and the West Bank -- while American babies are risking death by war-caused inflation right here at home.  DOGE, get your arse in gear.  All the real waste and inefficiency is happening in the Pentagon and the Federal Reserve -- not in some minor-league consumer financial protection bureau that only big bankers dislike.

     I just e-mailed one of my friends in Yemen.  "You still alive?"

     "Yeah but just barely."  Whew.  "Mostly they just slaughtered women and children.  Missed the main hospital here by barely one block."  Same old story.  American bombs tend to only zero in on women, children and hospitals.  But at least this time they didn't hit any school buses.  That's a relief.  I guess.

PS:  I trudged all over the freaking Middle East back in January and came safely home no worse for wear except for a bad case of jet lag and a sorry-looking bank balance.  But.  While running for the bus last week right here in totally-safe Berkeley, I somehow managed to knee-cap myself and break my left tibia.  Six EMTs and an ambulance were involved.

     I need to go back to war zones -- where it's safe!
