Syria: America just attacked Russia on its southern flank
It's clear as glass that America is now paying ISIS and Nusra thugs to create a diversion in Syria in order to, hopefully, force Russia to funnel more of its weapons, manpower and money into Syria instead of using them to fight in Ukraine. How else would Al Nusra come up with all those sophisticated missiles and such? Buy them off the internet using Amazon Prime?
This "divide and conquer" strategy sounds good on paper, right? Sadly, however, it appears that nobody in the American neo-con cabal has ever read Sun Tsu. "War should be avoided with diplomacy. If it cannot be avoided, it should be fought strategically and psychologically to minimize damage and the wasting of resources. Warfare should only be a last resort and heading into battle is already admitting a kind of defeat."
Of course, attacking Syria might be the brilliant strategic and psychological move that Sun Tsu refers to -- if only Russia wasn't armed to the teeth. As it is, America is just once again recklessly poking the bear.
Sun Tsu goes on to say, "If equally
matched, we can offer battle; if slightly inferior in numbers, we can
avoid the enemy; if quite unequal in every way, we can flee from him." Russia has the new and terrifying "Hazelnut" hypersonic missile. We do not.
Ultimately, America does not have the weapons-manufacturing capability to equal Russia's -- and with all this foreign adventurism in faraway places like Israel and Ukra$ne, our leaders are leaving America's home shores unprotected as well. Sun Tsu would be shocked at America's folly -- and I am too.
